Oyo 2027: Oke-Ogun Leaders Assure Support For Guber Aspirant, Olaoluwa
Leaders across Oke Ogun zone have said that it is within the constitutional rights of all members of the All Progressives Congress including one of its aspirant, Olaoluwa Peter Abidemi popularly called OPA to contest the 2027 governorship race in the state.
The leaders, which included former Commissioner Raji Rasaki, former Chairman Asimiu Tirimisiyu, Hon Oyebisi, and Hon Leke described Olaoluwa as a man of substance with the pedigree and capacity to govern the state.
The leaders stated this while speaking during a meeting with stakeholders and the 2027 governorship aspirant, Olaoluwa Peter Abidemi, popularly called OPA at Igbeti, Olorunsogo local government and SakiSaki West local government.
The leaders said that the Oyo Federal Constituency has a rich history of producing strong and accomplished men, noting that it should not shy away from giving them the opportunity to lead.
Indigenes of Oyo are accomplished men, describing them as symbols of excellence and pride to the state.
They further commended his philanthropic efforts through the Peter Olaoluwa Foundation (POF), which he said contributed significantly to human capacity development in Oyo State.
“The activities of the Peter Olaoluwa Foundation are still fresh in our memory. He built human capacity across the state. He is an accountant by profession and a philanthropist.
These are things that make us proud,” the monarch stated.
“If somebody like him is willing to take the shot, we other zones should have a rethink and give them more room than we have been giving them.
They said his ambition remained his constitutional and fundamental right as a Nigerian citizen.
They also called for political cooperation across other zones, noting that aspirants from had been reaching out to stakeholders in other zones.
