A new twist had emerged on the recently conducted primary elections of African Democratic Congress as documents submitted in Abuja revealed that the Osi Bashorun of Ibadanland and one time health commissioner in the state, Azeez Popoola Adeduntan is the authentic winner of the May 22nd, 2026 exercise.
In a submission of the documents to the office of the national organising secretary of the party, Barrister Chinedu Idigo on Saturday, May 30, in Abuja, the legal convener of the governorship primary election witnessed and monitored by INEC on May 22nd 2026 ,the chairman of the committee, Mr Hrrinson Akpojaro has submitted tabulated results of the primary affirming under the penalty of pain and Perjury that AZEEZ ADEDUNTAN was the winner of the primary election scoring after scoring 13690 legal votes as tabulated below:
Azeez Adeduntan:13690 votes
Alagbe Gbemileke 3400 votes
ADEGOKE ADEGBOYEGA 500 votes
NIYI ABORISADE .1360 votes
ILAKA LUKMAN:410 votes
A duplicate signed copy of the statement of result was given to Dr Azeez Adeduntan has pictorially
shown in Abuja on Saturday.
Representatives of Dr. Adeduntan have then warned person or persons parading himself or themselves to desist from such a product of illegal parallel primary as he does so at his own legal risk as such conduct is Actionable.
