Oyo 2027: APC Guber Aspirant, Olaoluwa Visits Party Secretariat, Meets Leaders, Elders
A governorship aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State, Olaoluwa Peter Abidemi popularly called OPA has paid a consultation visit to the Afijio local government APC secretariat in Jobele as part of his engagement with party leaders and elders ahead of the 2027 governorship election.
Speaking with journalists after the meeting on Wednesday, Olaoluwa expressed confidence that the APC would defeat opponents from other political parties in the 2017 election. According to him, “consultation must continue to engage and consult with what I call the stakeholders and leaders of the party and one very critical stakeholders we have come to meet today.” “Continuous process is on. It’s not over until it’s over.
We will continue to engage and to consult with other leaders. Like I said, there are quite a lot of layers and our strategy might be different from the others and there is a deliberate reason for it.”
“We will continue to engage for the best of our party, the best of the state and the best of our leaders and most importantly, to win the state for the party in 2027 and to win it massively with a landslide for the president.” OPA who is also the Atayese of Fiditi maintained that the party has the structure, strategy, and organization needed to secure victory at the polls.
On President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration, the aspirant said the president inherited a struggling economy and urged Nigerians to remain patient as reforms take effect. He said the country is close to a turning point and expressed optimism that normalcy will soon return.
According to him, “there’s something I want to emphasize here, there’s a State and National lack of understanding of how well President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has gone. “On APC’s prospects in the 2027 Oyo governorship race, Olaoluwai said, “I’m very positive that in Oyo, in Nigeria, we will win, APC will win, I have no doubt about it.”
