2027:: Authentic Mogaji’s Backs Makinde for President in 2027
A group in Ibadan traditional institution, the Authentic Mogaji’s of Ibadanland on Sunday backed the presidential ambition of Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde for 2027.
The group in a statement jointly signed by its spokesperson, Mogaji Olawale Oladoja,, Mogaji Ademola Olasomi and Mogaji Olatoye Olamide popularly called Big Daddy commended the political sagacity and excellent leadership qualities of governor Seyi Makinde in the last seven years.
It stated that this has placed him far above some of his co-contestants who are in the race with him.
The group explained that current economic realities across the country placed the APM candidate in a pole position among his peers to take over power from the incubent president.
“ It is heartwarming to say that Governor Makinde’s giant strides in developing the state and his contributions to the progress of Nigeria are unequal,” he said.
The Mogaji’s called on Nigerians to support APM and Governor Seyi Makinde, who everyone in the country knows have the people’s welfare at heart, rather than those who created suffering for them.
It likened Governor Makinde to the late sage, Pa Obafemi Awolowo, who has a vision for the development of the masses and put all his heart into actualising those visions.
“Urban renewal, education, health and infrastructural revamping are part of where he scored greatly, not to talk of promotion of agri-economy, workers’ welfare, unequal employment drive and care for the elderly and other neglected population of the state since he assumed office in 2015,” the statement said.
