The leadership of the Ogun State Chapter of APC Support Groups Council on Monday congratulated the newly chosen Deputy Governorship Candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State, Alhaja Kudirat Abiodun Balogun on her emergence as deputy Governorship candidate to Senator Olamilekan Solomon Adeola Yayi.
In a release by the Secretary of the council, Hon Yinka Kondu in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital, it described her emergence as a round peg in a round hole.
The council said Alhaja Kudirat Balogun as the Deputy Governorship candidate will go a long way in complementing the already established acceptabilty of APC Governorship Candidate, Senator Solomon Adeola Yayi.
It described her selection as well deserved and a testament to her diligence, integrity, and service to humanity as well as her competence, hard work, and commitment to public service.
“Alhaja Kudirat Balogun’s emergence represents a boost for women participation in leadership which has been a major public discourse in the last few years across every sphere of human life which would also be an impetus for more women to be dedicated and aspire fir greatness in governance through politics.
He noted that the development underscores the importance of rewarding dedication and service to humanity in political leadership.
Ogun APC Support Groups Council appreciated Governor Dapo Abiodun, the APC Chairman in Ogun State, Chief Yemi Sanusi and other leaders of the party across the state as well as Senator Olamilekan Sololmon Adeola for choosing a running mate that would boost the party chances in the 2027 election and ensure purposeful leadership and development across Ogun State.
The council expressed its readiness to work assiduously for the victory of the party while believing that the APC would record a resounding victory at the polls.
