“Fayose Is An Expired Politician” -Oyo APM Chieftain, Oladoja Slams Fayose Over Comments On Makinde Presidential ambition

A chieftain of the Allied People’s Movement in Oyo State, Mogaji Olawale Oladoja on Tuesday taken a swipe at former Ekiti State Governor Ayo Fayose, over his comment on Governor Makinde 2027 Presidential ambition.

Oladoja while condemning the statement, described it as “reckless, insensitive and politically meaningless” adding that “such a statement is not only irresponsible and provocative, but also exposes Fayose’s glaring double standards and political morality.

Oladoja said “at a time when Nigerians are being longing and expecting a true leader, of different generations to those that hat thrown the nation in this quagmire it is so shameful and unfortunate that a former governor would seek to convert truth for propaganda for political gains.

Recall that Fayose had, following the declaration of Governor Seyi Makinde in the presidency, there has been various claims and comments by Fayose, which are not yet verified or found to be truth.

Mogaji Oladoja urges Nigerians to reject attempts by Fayose and others to continue to impoverish them and stand firmly with Seyi Makinde and APM, which poised to take Nigeria out of confusion to conviction.

“Nigeria of today require responsible leadership, national unity and sincere commitment to the welfare of the mases, not derogatory talks by the likes of expired politician like Fayose.

Oladoja said that Fayose’s hypocrisy becomes even more evident when viewed against his silence in many things, affecting ordinary Nigerians just because he wants to be in the good book of the President.

He said Fayose selective comments, especially towards the person of Seyi Makinde, exposes the insincerity behind his comments and confirms that his criticisms are driven not by concern for Nigerians but his livelihood.

Oladoja dismissed Fayose’s political morality publicly claiming to be PDP leader in Ekiti State, but serving as one of the loudest advocates of Governor Oyebanji’s re-election under the APC.

He continued, “Beyond that, Fayose successfully fielded his own biological son under the APC platform and continues to work tirelessly for the electoral success of a party he claims not to belong to.

“The same Fayose commenced public campaigns for Oyebanji’s second term barely months after the Oyebanji administration assumed office. One is compelled to ask what objective assessment could have warranted such an endorsement at that early stage. Certainly not measurable performance, fulfilled promises, or verifiable governance outcomes. The answer is apparent to discerning observers.

“It is unfortunate that the philosophy once promoted as “stomach infrastructure” appears to have degenerated into a politics driven entirely by personal interests and political convenience. Rather than standing with victims of insecurity and demanding effective solutions from those in authority, Fayose has chosen the path of partisan distortion, selective outrage, and political opportunism.”

He called on the Oyo state government to extend its supervision to some property of Fayose in Ibadan and confirm their legitimacy to going by some rumours that some of the property were gotten through illegitimate means.

Oladoja then commended Governor Makinde for his statesmanship, commitment to equity, fair play, and dedication to the unity and cohesion of Nigeria.
