AWA Congratulates Yilwatda, APC NWC on Successful Convention
Oyo Central Senatorial hopeful, Alhaji Ademola Wasiu Alli (AWA), has congratulated Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda on his emergence as the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), describing the development as well-deserved and timely.
In a statement made available to newsmen on Saturday, AWA noted that Yilwatda’s wealth of leadership experience and steadfast commitment to progressive ideals would further strengthen the party’s internal cohesion and enhance its national outlook.
He also extended warm congratulations to other members of the newly elected National Working Committee (NWC), particularly the National Secretary, Senator Ajibola Basiru, and the National Deputy Auditor, Hon. Olugbenga Olayemi. AWA described their emergence as a reflection of the party’s democratic credentials and unity of purpose, expressing confidence in their capacity to effectively deliver on their mandates.
He commended delegates from across the country for their discipline, commitment, and steadfastness throughout the convention, noting that their conduct reaffirmed the APC’s status as a formidable political platform.
The senatorial hopeful gave special recognition to delegates from Oyo State, applauding their loyalty and unwavering support for the party’s ideals, which contributed significantly to the success of the exercise. AWA further congratulated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on the successful hosting of the convention, while praying for sustained unity within the party and expressing optimism about the APC’s victory in the 2027 general elections.
