Adeleke Supports Family As Ezekiel’s Mother Gets Job Offer From Governor
Few hours after his Re-election, Governor Ademola Adeleke has stepped in to support the family of 14-year-old Ezekiel Olapade, who was shot dead in Ilobu, Irepodun Local Government Area, offering his mother, an NCE holder, an employment opportunity.
The gesture was disclosed by Hon. Bamidele Salam, a close ally of the governor, during a visit to the grieving family.
Salam also announced a scholarship covering tertiary education for Ezekiel’s elder brother, Peter, who is set to begin senior secondary school in September.
The support comes as the family continues to mourn Ezekiel, who was killed while reportedly trying to rescue his mother during a violent attack near her palm wine shop.
Adeleke assured the family that efforts are ongoing to ensure justice is served, with police investigations into the killing said to be in progress. The teenager’s death has drawn widespread condemnation, with calls for those responsible to be identified and prosecuted.
