Oyo INEC Organises Capacity-Building Training on CVR
The Oyo State Independent Electoral Commission has organized capacity-building training on Continuous Voter Registration exercisee for members of staff.
Speaking at the training held at its Ibadan office, the Ag. Administrative Secretary, Mrs Rose Adeniyi Alaba said that the training session was organized by the Commission to intimate all members of staff with the process of the ongoing CVR Exercise.
She enjoined the participants to see the training as not merely a procedural formality but a representation and reinforcement of public trust to fulfil INEC’s constitutional role by giving out the right information to the Public in assisting them to do the pre-registration online as the case may be.
The ADSEC and the Management also awarded seven (7) staff members on their outstanding performances which she noted, would be a continuous process in motivating all members of staff across all the departments.
Alaba added that,Staff Birthday Celebrations and Monthly Sanitation Exercise will be taking place as from last Thursday of every month by 8:00am.
The State representative of the newly inaugurated Joint Consultative Committee (JCC) Alh. Ayobami Yusuf Musa also addressed the staff on JCC Code of Conduct for Members stressing that the Committee remained the interface between the Management and Staff.
Participants at the Training included all the Heads of Department, Heads of Units, Corps members, IT Staff/Students and all other members of staff at the State Office respectively.
