Oyo 2027: I Will Contest Governorhip Election – Adeduntan
The Osi Bashorun of Ibadanland and 2027 governorship hopeful in Oyo State, Prince Dr. Azeez Popoola Adeduntan has again re-affirmed his commitment to contest the governorship election come 2027.
Adeduntan made this disclosure while receiving leadership of Yoruba Youth Assembly in his Ibadan office on Wednesday.
The former Commissioner of health in the state explained that Oyo state deserves a better Governor in 2027 ,who will give his best to the people of the state.
Adeduntan appealed to residents of the state through the leadership of youth group to choose personality over political parties so as to move the state forward.
In his remark, the President, Yoruba Youth Assembly (YYA), Olarinde Thomas promised to rally support for the Osi Bashorun of Ibadanland, Prince. Dr Azeez Popoola ADEWOLU GBADEGESIN Adeduntan -ONISILE insisting that he remains the preferred choice to govern the good people of Oyo State..
Thomas described Adeduntan as a vibrant and capable leader that has all it takes to change the narrative for good governance and quality life for the people of Oyo State.
They appealed to party leaders, political gladiators, and residents of Oyo state to ensure that Adeduntan is given the ticket and allowed to be the next governor of Oyo State.
The youth group noted that “Oyo state deserves good governance and quality service, and this is what we believe our leader, Osi Bashorun Adeduntan,” represents.
“Despite his high pedigree and international status, he still finds time to bond with his people in the local government, Ibadanland and Oyo State.
He understands our myriads of challenges, and he is quite efficient in helping in all these areas. He has organised various intervention programmes through his foundation, Dr Azeez Popoola Adeduntan Foundation (DAPAF).
“He remains a bridge builder that will bridge the gap between the past and present, as well as the young and old.
The group said he has volunteered for an array of human development initiatives across the globe and has a bag of awards and commendation to his name. No wonder he emerged the Overall Best Commissioner across the Southwest in 2017.
The group later presented the award to Prince. Dr Azeez Popoola Adeduntan.
