Olaoluwa Commends President Tinubu For Restoring Fubara, Amaewhule, Others
The President, Peter Olaoluwa Foundation (POF), Olaoluwa Peter Abidemi, popularly called OPA, has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for restoring Governor Siminalayi Fubara and members of the House of Assembly back to office.
Olaoluwa, a governorship hopeful in Oyo State in 2027, gave this commendation in a release issued on his behalf by his media office and made available to journalists in Ibadan.
Olaoluwa stated that six months ago, the state was on the verge of total collapse if not for the timely intervention of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who swung into action on many fronts.
He said Mr. President, as the father of the nation, made several attempts to quelled the crisis before it became a full blow that shook the state to its foundation.
Olaoluwa, who is also the Atayese of Fiditi, recalled that the crisis began with the division of the lawmakers, with the majority sided with federal capital territory minister Nyesom Wike while three other lawmakers were working with the governor.
“The crisis in River state was avoidable if those that were involved have done what was expected of them especially the leaders and not that they felt unconcerned and put the safety and security of the state at risks.
“Take a look at the burning down of the State House of Assembly, vandalisation of oil pipeline in two local governments, the illegal local government election as pronounced by the Supreme Court among many other disagreement which later snowballed into a crisis.
“No serious father will leave his house on fire while sleeping, hence the timely intervention of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, which in the last six months has restored dignity and peace into the governance of Rivers State.
“I’m using this medium to commend Mr. President, who is the father of our nation, for acting appropriately and ensuring peace in the state. I also congratulate the government and the good people of Rivers State for witnessing once again a renewed democratic governance in their state.”
Olaoluwa added that this should be a lesson for all that there can only be development in the atmosphere of peace and tranquility, as shown in Rivers State.
