Nigeria at 65: Olaoluwa Calls For Greater Commitment From Citizens

The Atayese of Fiditi and President, Peter Olaoluwa Foundation, (POF), Olaoluwa Peter Abidemi popularly called OPA on Wednesday congratulated Nigerians on the country’s 65th independence anniversary celebration, calling for greater commitment, on the part of the citizenry, to the greatness of the country.

Olaoluwa who is also a gubernatorial hopeful in Oyo State in a goodwill message also congratulated the people of Oyo State on the special occasion.

He called on Nigerians both home and abroad, to join hands with the government of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in repositioning the Nation as a destination of choice for living and for investments.

OPa stated that the government of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is laying a sustainable future for the all-round development of the nation, focusing on numerous sectors for the benefit of Nigerians.

The Chartered Accountant turned politician affirmed that the various policies of the administrations have started to yield positive results with attendant boost in the quality of life of the average citizen.

OPA said he was confident that the state and its people would return to the frontline.

According to him “I congratulate Nigerians on the country’s 65th independence anniversary, and I urge all to remain steadfast in our collective effort to make the country a better place for us all.

He added that the task of rebuilding and repositioning the nation is a collective effort and through citizens cooperation, a prosperous nation will be built.

He described the anniversary as an opportunity to reflect on Nigeria’s journey to nationhood and renew collective commitment to building a prosperous nation.

He acknowledged the challenges facing the country, particularly insecurity, but expressed optimism that Nigeria would overcome its difficulties through shared responsibility.

“As we celebrate 65 years of independence, we must recognise that nation-building is a shared responsibility. The security challenges confronting our dear nation require all hands on deck.

He appealed to Nigerians to see security as everyone’s business by reporting suspicious activities, providing credible intelligence, and supporting security agencies in their duties.

Olaoluwa commended President Bola Tinubu’s administration for prioritising security and implementing reforms aimed at repositioning the economy for sustainable growth.

He also hailed Nigerians’ resilience and patriotism, stressing that unity of purpose remained the nation’s greatest strength.
