The Chaplain, Oyo State government house chapel, Pastor Dr. Layi Adisa has called on Christians across the state to intensify Prayer for leadership and the Government of Oyo State.
Pastor Adisa made this call in his message, marking the commencement of the forty days of spiritual exercise.
He said the season should be that of a profound journey of reflection, prayer, and spiritual renewal.
“Let this 40-day period be a time to crucify negativity, to seek spiritual growth, to fast from selfishness and to feast on love, compassion, and kindness.
“May this holy season draw us closer to God and to one another.
“Let us use this period to pray for our state – for peace, justice,and well-being of all citizens.
“May we be abundantly blessed as we seek the Lord faithfully with the integrity of our hearts.
“May the Lord grant our dear Governor, His Excellency Engr. Seyi Makinde, divine wisdom, courage , unyielding integrity, and a heart to finish strong.
“To all members of the government, May the grace to discharge our duty with justice, fairness, and love for all citizens be released upon us.
“May God bless our dear state, our governor, and our government.
“May we all come out of this Lenten season renewed, restored, and ready to shine with the light of hope and love,” the statement concluded.
