Ibadan Authentic Mogaji’s Commends Oba Ladoja Over Policies Statements
..pledges to support Olubadan designate
The Authentic Mogaji’s of Ibadanland has lauded the Olubadan-designate, Oba Rasheed Adewolu Ladoja over some of his developmental plans for the socio-economic growth of Ibadanland.
The Authentic Mogaji’s of Ibadanland gave this commendation on Friday through his publicity secretary, Mogaji Olawale Oladoja while speaking on the preparation for the Olubadan-designate coronation.
The group explained that it was happy to note that Oba Ladoja is coming onto the throne of his forefathers with many bumper packages in terms of plans for the growth of Ibadanland and ensure its continue development.
It said more than ever before Authentic Mogaji’s of Ibadan will be more than ready to support whole heartedly all the moves and plans of the development of Ibadanland.
According to the statement the group stated that “we commend our Baba, His imperial majesty, Oba Rasheed Adewolu Ladoja on a well placed position of Ibadan on many matters which concerned Ibadanland and his well documented in history.
“It is good that Kaabiyesi has made it clear to everyone the role Ibadanland played in the sustainance of dignity and respect of Yorubaland.
” Our Baba has made it clear that without the influence of Ibadan, the traditional title of the entire Obas in Yoruba land would have been ‘Emir’. We are not talking about Ibadan’s place in history now, but about modernising what is left of the former Ibadan Empire.”
The group further applaud the commencement of process of modernisation disclosed by our revered imperial Majesty with special roles to be given to , and all traditional rulers, including Baales and Mogajis.
“Kaabiyesi also highlighted importance of security and accountability, with calls that traditional leaders must reside within their communities, which all of us Authentic Mogaji’s are fully in support and are ready to fully complied with.
“We are ready to ensure adequate security henceforth in all our commumities even though we had been doing that, we have to improve on it and up our efforts and will be ready to be held accountable,”
The group urged Oba Ladoja to continue to empower and support the Mogaji’s in this role so as not to be witchhunt by anyone while carrying out their traditional responsibilities.
“As a mogaji in Akinyele local government and also same for all of our members, we are fully ready to carry out the directives of our Baba to the end. We appeal that we should be more empowered to do this work so as not to be waylaid by anyone through unnecessary indictment or allegations when carrying out the directives of Olubadan.
“We are happy that the era of mogajis in diaspora is gradually coming to an end, and people of questionable characters will have no business holding traditional positions in our land.”
