How Oyo Agbekoya Personnel Escaped from Kidnappers In Akinyele
Taiwo Suara, a personnel of Agbekoya in Akinyele local government on Saturday narrowly escaped from the den of kidnappers in Akinyele local government area of Oyo State.
Suara, a younger brother to one of the contender for Baaleship in Olowogbo in Akinyele local government while speaking with The Prominent News in Moniya, Ibadan explained that he got a call from some people who claimed to be customers and and want to recruit officers of Agbekoya for protection around 4pm on Friday, but on getting to them , they kidnapped him and took him to an unknown destination.
“I was kidnapped on Friday at about 4 pm along Deeper Life, Express road, Ibadan and taken to a thick bush by five armed men.
“But later at night, three of them left and there were two men left with the aim of slaughtering me later that night. But as God would had it, the two men slept off and I escaped. I worked through bush for many hours and later got a way to my abode around 12 am on Saturday.
“Their aim according to them was to murdered me because of the Baale tussle, which my elder brother was also contesting. There were weapons like gun, knifes, cutlasses and pots.”
Suara alleged that another contender to the Baaleship was the one that has been identified and suspected.
“For me, the suspect in this case is Nurudeen Muili who has threatened me five times that I’m disturbing him from becoming the Baale.
“I had already reported the case to Moniya police station for legal action.”
Suara also commended the officers at Moniya police stations for their due diligence with assurance that they will get to the roof of the matter.
As at the press time, the case has been reported while the suspect was under investigation.
