“Don’t Turn Nigeria To A One Party State” – PDP To APC
The leading opposition party in Nigeria, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), had appealed to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) not to turn the state to a one party state.
This was part of the communique issued by the PDP after its 102 National Executive Council meeting held in Abuja.
The meeting condemned what it described as resort by the APC to state capture through state backed intimidation, manipulation, inducement, coercion and violence against Nigerians as witnessed in APC’s muzzling of the recent bye elections in the country.
The party reassures Nigeria of its commitment to democracy and the defence of the interest and well-being of all citizens.
