APC Support Groups Council Joins Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun To Receive PDP, ADC Defectors In Ogun East
Some members of APC Support Groups Council on Friday joined the Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun to received members of the opposition parties into the fold of the All Progressives Congress, (APC) in Ogun State.
The delegation to the event included the council secretary in Ogun state, Hon Yinka Kondu and former women leader of APC in Ijebu Ode local government who is the coordinator of APC Support Groups Council in the local government, Hon Arije Olufisayo Grace and other members of the council.
Speaking at the rally, Governor Dapo Abiodun said the overwhelming turnout and growing movement into the party are clear demonstrations of the confidence the people continue to repose in his administration and the progressive family.
He assured that the new members have become an integral part of the APC family and will enjoy equal opportunities alongside existing members.
Abiodun charged everyone to return to their wards and communities and intensify mobilisation ahead of the 2027 general elections.
“With the level of support we witnessed and the growing acceptance of our party across Ogun East and the entire state, we are confident that Ogun State remains firmly APC.
“Our confidence is anchored on performance. Across Ogun East, we have delivered and continue to deliver critical infrastructure, including over 100 roads, the Gateway International Airport, and several major economic projects.
“We are also advancing the Olokola Deep Sea Port, the Olokola-Kajola Gas Industrial Free Zone, and oil exploration activities in Ogun Waterside.
“On Monday, we will join the Honourable Minister of Works, Senator Dave Umahi, to flag off the reconstruction of the Ago-Iwoye–Ibadan Road, another important intervention made possible with the support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
“We remain grateful to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his tremendous support for Ogun State and his commitment to infrastructural and economic development. As we approach 2027, we will not rest on our achievements. We will continue to work, deliver, unite our people, and strengthen our party at the grassroots until victory is secured for the APC at all levels,” he concluded.
