Ogun APC Support Groups Coumcil Coordinator, Shobowale Mourns Passage APC Southwest Women Leader, Yetunde Adesanya
The Coordinator, APC Support Groups Council, Ogun State, Lekan Shobo Shobowale has expressed sadness over the passing of Southwest women leader of APC, Yetunde Adesanya, who died on Sunday at the age of 63.
In a statement, on Friday night, Shobowale described Adesanya as a good woman, stated: “I was shocked and saddened by the sudden passing of our leader prominent politician and a mother.
“I met her through Comrade Mashood Erubami few years ago, and since then we had ensured a cordial relationship as mother to son.
“I shall never forget Mama Adesanya for her love and commitment, sacrifice for Ogun State and indeed Nigeria.
“She will be remembered. for her commitment to the womenfolk and the downtrodden and be celebrated.”
“The shock is indescribable. It is so huge and painful. Indeed, we lost a very bright light that had always brought the desired radiance to our party.
“Yeye’s death came at a time the party needs her most in galvanising support through the mobilisation of women across the Southwest.
“We’ll miss her contributions to the growth and development of our great party. She was a dedicated politician and a remarkable woman. She advocated and encouraged women participation in politics with great passion,” he concluded.
