The Road Transport Employers Association of Nigeria (RTEAN), Oyo State on Monday joined well wishers and indigenes of Ibadanland to extend warm congratulations to the Olubadan-designate, Oba Senator Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, on his ascension to the revered throne of Ibadanland.
In a statement signed by his Chairman, Otunba Desmond Muyuwa Oguntuga and Secretary Adeyemi Olusola and made available to journalists in Ibadan said Oba Ladoja’s emergence is divine especially at a time traditional institutions in Yorubaland needs repositioning and transformation.
The statement said the development is not just a celebration and fulfilment for Ibadanland but for Yoruba race and the nation at large.
RTEAN further stated that the ascension of the former governor as the next Olubadan is “ a blessing, heartwarming, inspiring, and a good thing to the socio-cultural and economic progress of Ibadanland and the southwest.”
“For an elderstateman in the stature of Oba (Sen.) Ladoja’s excellent journey in politics, governance, community service, business among others has prepared him with the wisdom, leadership qualities, and experience needed to steer the affairs of Ibadanland to greater heights.
The association said the Olubadan-designate’s reputation for fairness, humility, and commitment to the welfare of the people makes him an Icon of hope not only for the traditional institution in Oyo state but across Nigeria going by his wide acceptability.
“On behalf of the entire members our association in Oyo state, we celebrate Oba Ladoja and pray for a successful and lasting reign that will promote unity, tourism, and development in Ibadanland.
“We assured our revered Kaabiyesi of our continued support for initiatives under his leadership aimed at measures to foster cultural exchange, tourism promotion, and economic empowerment for the people of Oyo State and the Yoruba nation
