300bn Loan: Olaoluwa Commends Oyo APC Leadership, Members Over Protest
The Atayese of Fiditi and President, Peter Olaoluwa Foundation, (POF), Olaoluwa Peter Abidemi popularly called OPA has commended the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State on the Monday protest against the continuous borrowing spree of the present government in the state.
Olaoluwa, in a release on Tuesday through his media office in Ibadan, stated that the protest became necessary so as to caution the Seyi Makinde led administration so as not to throw the state into eternal debt.
He said the rate at which the state government goes about its borrowing should be a great concern to all residents of the state, especially when there is no visible improvement in the state infrastructure.
OPA added that from all indications and reports gotten after the protest, the people of the state were happy that a warning is been issued to the government to exercise restraint in the way it’s seeking both foreign and local loans.
“I want to commend the leadership of our great party under the Pharmacist Olaide Abass led executive for their proactive measures and steps taken to caution the state government and to also stand in solidarity with Hon Ibraheem Shittu who God used to revealed this financial recklessness.
“It’s indeed a commendable step taken by our party and all its teeming members. I also thank all our members for standing by the party at this important time. I hope and pray that our party will continue to wax stronger as we approach the decisive year 2027”.
